Your report: Price drops across Canada?

For any major retailer that says they can't lower prices due to inventory is not being truthfull.

Consider this brouse future shop or best buy and see home items say they will ship when avaliable. This to me would mean that the item is not in stock and they are awaiting delivery.

The big box stores depend on a high inventory turnover, say 12+. This would mean that inventory should be replenished at least once a month. So any prices should reflect changes 1 month follwoing at the latest.

Just some food for thought.

McGuinty, Charest oppose makeup of proposed Commons

Ontario and Quebec are vowing to keep fighting the federal government's plans to change the makeup of the House of Commons and reform the Senate.

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and Quebec's Jean Charest both have problems with the Conservative government's plans to change the Commons and Senate.

McGuinty complains Alberta and B.C. will each get one new MP for every 100,000 new residents, while Ontario gets one new MP for every 200,000 new residents.

He said that is unfair and "clearly discriminates against Ontarians."

Charest said Quebec adamantly opposes Ottawa's proposals to elect senators and limit their terms to eight years.

Charest said the prime minister should agree to a first ministers' meeting so the provinces and territories can talk about what the changes would mean for every part of Canada.
