Zoo story: Sex-power-status

That Thursday, the keepers in the Asia department bustle through their morning workload so they can get to the tiger sex.

It's March 25, 2004. In the glow just before sunrise, the keepers are already working. They feed the tapirs and the muntjacs and the babirusas. They slip a carrot to Naboo, the male Indian rhino, who's begging as usual. Then they collect his droppings and save them for Jamie, the zoo's young female rhino, so she can inhale Naboo's scent and get used to the possibility that someday they might be paired, too, when she's old enough and big enough that he won't kill her.

Before they shift Enshalla and Eric from their dens and into the exhibit, the keepers feed the two Sumatran tigers, so they won't be hungry and distracted when they're supposed to be mating.

Robertson's statement Wednesday said, “Regent stands ready to offer support and assistance to ORU," but it did not give any details about what the school could offer.

Judy Baker, a spokeswoman for Regent, said she did not have specifics nor did she know when more .

Credit card thieves target busy shoppers is by taking advantage of the holiday crowds, and engaging in what's called shoulder surfing, to size up your credit card info while you're distracted by your transaction.
